Astronomy - Schools Observatory - Troubleshooting
1.Click here to enter site.
2.Register by going to 'Registration' on the top menu list.
3.Click on 'Observing' on the top menu list.
4.Click on 'My Observaitions'.
5.Enter your user name and password.
6.If you have already got and observaition with 'ready to download' on it go to 13.
7.Click on 'Go Observing'.
8.Select from list and click 'ok'
9.Select from list and click 'ok'
10.Select from list and click 'ok'
11.Select from list and click 'ok'
12.Check observaition and click 'Submit Observaition'. It may take a few days to get the picture.
13.If you have already got an observaition ready to download click on its code.
14.If you have already downloaded LTImage go to 26.
15.Click on 'Help on Displaying Observations'.
16.Go to 'Do I Need Any Special Software?' and click on 'here'.
17.Click on 'LTImage'.
18.Click 'Download LTImage'.
19.Enter your user name and password.
20.Select 'Save' and save it somewhere.
21.Click on 'Run'.
22.Click on 'Run'.
23.Click on 'Setup'.
24.Click 'Next', 'Yes', 'Next', 'Next', 'Next', 'Finish'.
25.Close the open window.
26.Click on 'Download from this page'.
27.Right click on 'Download Image Data File'.
28.Select 'Save Target As...'.
29.Save it somewhere.
30.Open LTImage (Located in 'Start' 'All Programs' 'Schools Observatory' 'LTImage'.
31.Go to 'File' 'Open Data Image'.
32.Find it and open it.
33.It looks like a few white dots so, go to 'Display' 'Scaling'.
34.Move the bars then click on 'Use new Values'.
35.You should have a desent picture.
36.You can save the image as a Bitmap. Go to 'File' 'Save Picture' and save it.
